Every Child Can
We are committed to creating a nurturing, interactive, and fun learning environment for every child to develop their musical potential
Why Music Lessons Matter
Develop Physical Skills
Getting started with the correct setup and building technique in a structured and sequential manner allows students to access their musicality and expression when playing music.
Refine Listening Skills
Learning a musical instrument requires active listening skills, including the ability to listen respectfully and quietly to other performers, which is practiced during lessons and recitals.
Learn Critical Thinking Skills
Musicians must analyze, interpret, and understand their instruments and the music they play. These skills are learned in music lessons and can be applied to any other field of study.
Boost Self Esteem
Playing a stringed instrument is no easy task. Students will learn to persevere through difficult tasks as well as learn performance practices in a way that boosts confidence.
Improve Memory
Students will start with short and simple pieces to develop the memorization skills and techniques needed to build up to performing a 30 minute piece from memory.
Reduce Stress and Be Happy!
Playing music is a beautiful way to express thoughts and emotion in a way that is very different than using spoken words. It brings people together and, of course, it's fun!
What We Learn
Beautiful Tone
Beautiful tone is emphasized from the very first lesson. Students are much more likely to practice if they love the sound of their own playing.
Ear Training
Music is a language and should be taught as such. Students will learn how to listen and play music by ear, just as when learning to speak.
Creativity
Students will have a chance to explore different sounds and experiment with practice strategies and composition.
Performance Skills
Students will have the opportunity to perform in solo recitals as well as practice performing in ensembles and with piano accompaniments.
Note Reading
Just as with reading words, note reading is introduced after students have a comfortable understanding of notes and rhythms by ear.
Love for Music
Our most important goal is to establish a love for music in each student, whether or not they make it a career.
